1. Launch of a 6-year longitudinal Core Medical Humanities Programme in MBBS Curriculum

A dose of humanities for every medical student admitted to HKU in 2012 and thereafter…

2. Recognition by HKU Excellence Awards

In recognition of MEHU team’s excellence in teaching and curriculum development, Professor L.C. Chan, Dr Julie Y. Chen and Dr Janice W.H. Tsang received and an Outstanding Teaching Award (Team) in 2013 for developing the medical humanities curriculum in the LKS Faculty of Medicine

3. Leadership in Linking Ethics, Arts and Professionalism in Healthcare Professions Education (LLEAP)

MEHU hosted its first interdisciplinary symposium. Members of the planning committee included Dr Cansu Canca, Dr Julie Chen, Prof Li Chong Chan, Dr Florian Knothe, Prof Gray Kochar-Lindgren

4. Recognition by Hong Kong Arts Development Council

In recognition of their collaboration with MEHU for excellence in bringing performing arts into healthcare professions education, our long-time community teaching partner, The Absolutely Fabulous Theatre Connection, won an Award for Arts Education (Non-School Division) in the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2017.
