Background
SUN Xiaofan is a PhD student in medical anthropology at the unit, under the guidance of Prof Alex Gearin. Her research focuses on the intersections of spirituality, affectivity, and medical practices within the Chinese context, with a particular interest in the application of psychedelics-assisted therapies in various clinical institutions. Xiaofan holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master’s degree in Business Analytics from Brandeis University.
