Introduction:

As part of its 10th Anniversary celebrations, the Medical Ethics and Humanities Unit (MEHU) is offering a free walking trip to explore the hidden medical history gems of the surrounding districts of HKU. The aim of the field trip is to help people who are interested in medical humanities to explore the past and present stories related to medical humanities. We will share our knowledge and stories of the city in a conversational and interactive way in this immersive 90-minute walking event. We will touch on the five core teaching and learning themes of MEHU: history of medicine, culture and care, doctor and patient identities, living and dying, and social justice & humanitarian aspects of medicine in Hong Kong.

Remarks:

  • This event is conducted in English
  • Please wear comfortable footwear
  • In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed.
