Abstract:
Migrant domestic workers (MDW) play a critical role in shaping the future of Hong Kong’s care economy. As the demand for elder care services continues to rise, migrant workers are well-placed to fill this demand. By examining the experiences of migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong, we will explore how quality education and training can provide better economic and social outcomes for not only MDWs, but also HK society. Recognizing the vital role of MDWs in the care economy is essential for creating a sustainable and inclusive future for an aging Hong Kong.
